Inside our Vol 19 Autumn issue

The shift of seasons…

How can we be talking autumn already? Although this year really does feel like we’ve had a summer thanks to the glorious weather. I have to admit though, I’m an autumn person, especially when we started to work on this issue. Don’t you just love the rich colours of the season? I had a lovely time compiling our autumn palette (page 18), working with such gorgeous shades inspired by nature. Autumn is such a wonderful season to visit Scandinavia; join us as we spend time in the Danish capital, with Laura Hall’s insider guide to Copenhagen, Trine Hahnemann’s favourite bakes inspired by the city, and a calming home in Amagerbro. Our Copenhagen special already has me planning my next trip!

Back at home, and we’ve ways to keep the Scandi style going on the terrace, as summer fades into autumn. I’m a big fan of a pot – and our easy planting ideas guarantee colour just a little longer. Indoors, it’s all about texture, with three Scandi homes that morph into autumn effortlessly – I love how Louise and Johannes’s Danish home feels so at peace with nature, while Malin and Miguel’s Swedish house has been brought back to life, and our cover home, Annika and Mattias’s Swedish villa, is full of contrasts – my starting point for our textural décor story. I do hope you find plenty to inspire your Scandi home.
