The refresh issue…

Well 'Hej’ spring – it’s so lovely to see you heading our way! And this new, fresh issue of Simply Scandi is full of the joys of the season. Find inspiration in our four homes (I have to say… just how lovely does Christina’s Danish summerhouse retreat look on our cover?), book that trip to Stockholm after enjoying our special on the Swedish capital, or plan an hygge-filled Easter gathering.

I always find spring is much more my ‘resolutions’ season than the start of a new year, having enjoyed the festivities and cosiness of Christmas, followed by a busy few weeks on press for this issue. It takes me a month or so to get ready for the year to come: I’m much more likely to get that daily walk in now than at the beginning of January, for instance! I’m also ready for the longer days again, like so many of our Scandinavian neighbours!

Talking of resolutions, I loved Helen Russell’s article on the (relaxed) art of Scandi dressing; it’s certainly made me rethink my wardrobe ethos. And if you need storage ideas (who doesn’t?!), I’ve shared some of my favourite secrets gleaned from editing this lovely magazine for five years, inspired by the many beautiful Scandi homes I’ve seen.
