Get ready for winter

Let me tell you about my new favourite word… although I’ve several in this issue, including the Danish arbejdsglæde, and mellandagar; it’s simply ‘wintering’. I love how winter, with Christmas at its heart, can also be a thing of beauty, something to look forward to and even embrace. Find out how they do so across Scandinavia in Laura Hall’s feature.

The homes in this issue all look amazing at winter, whether it’s Ina’s Norwegian cabin, Trine’s Danish villa dressed for Christmas, or Karin’s Swedish barn-style home, with its Scandi minimalist scheme. They’re all very different in style, but so welcoming at this time of year.

Talking of Scandi style, I’ve written the first of a new series exploring the many different ways you can create your own Scandi look. This time, I’m looking at Warm Scandi – and what better season than winter to build up layers of texture and colour?
