The cosy issue…

Come inside our Winter issue of Simply Scandi and share the warmth, the hygge and Scandi loveliness that awaits. I always think it’s such a wonderful season to be a Scandi fan, although I know living the actual dream can be problematic at this time of year too, for as homeowner Frederikke shares in the story of her Danish villa, winter can also feel long, cold and dark. Luckily – as Frederikke also notes – we’ve Christmas in the middle of it to bring joy and help us survive until spring.

This issue – Volume 20 in our collection – looks at some of the special ways Scandinavians embrace the season: I’ve shared my own musings on creating a Christmas Scandi home, having edited five Christmas specials, while Niki Brantmark bravely plunges into a world of cold dips and steamy saunas all in the name of research, followed by winter comfort recipes – you know, food that feels like a hug in a bowl or mug, or on a plate. We’ve also been inspired by the beauty of winter for our colour palette – trust me, it might just be your favourite Scandi scheme yet!
